Who is Bartlett Cheerleading Association?
Bartlett Cheerleading Association was founded in 2005 and is a non-profit 501 C3 organization created to develop the fundamental skills of cheerleading for girls from kindergarten through 8th grades. Our focus is on the fundamentals of cheer: TALENT, COMMITMENT, TEAM, AND SPORTSMANSHIP and community service.The Jr. Hawks compete at local cheerleading competitions and together with their families support local businesses, charities and community events. Bartlett Cheerleading Association is an active member in the following organizations:

What team do the Jr. Hawks cheer for?
The Jr. Hawks do not cheer for another team or sport. They are not affiliated with a football organization. The Jr. Hawks compete against other cheerleading organizations in the recreational division of competitive cheerleading.
What is the age range?
The Jr. Hawks is open to athletes grades K – 8. There is a team for each grade level.
Anyone in grades K – 8 is welcome. Athletes will be placed in their corresponding grade level.
What other events do the Jr. Hawks attend/participate?
The Jr. Hawks support the Village against the Chamber softball game, Independence Day Parade, Week Long Cheer Celebration, Women’s Bunny Lunch, Picture Day, End of Year Banquet and other events that compliment are season. We do not perform or cheer at football games.
When does the season start?
The season begins the first week in August and runs through December.
Is there an orientation day for members?
There is a meet and greet at each grade level before the season begins to meet the coach, team manager and teammates. Throughout the year, there are events for all the teams to get acquainted.
Where do the Jr. Hawks practice?
The Jr. Hawks practice inside a warehouse in the Brewster Creek business park. There are two full size mats for two squads to practice at the same time with full amenities. Practices are 2 – 3 times per week. The teams compete at 4 local competitions on either Saturday or Sunday. Girls are required to wear t-shirt, regulation short and gym shoes and bring a water bottle with their name on it.
What if my daughter has to miss a practice?
If your daughter cannot attend practice, her coach must be contacted either by email or by phone prior to the practice time. While it’s expected that things will come up from time to time, we expect the girls to attend practice on a regular basis, as the rest of the team depends on their participation. If a practice is cancelled, your coaching team will notify you before practice.
Where can I purchase BCA spirit wear?
Authentic BCA apparel is available to purchase through BCA. Limited styles and sizes are available for purchase at Bartlett Sports.
What is the registration fee?
The registration fee is $295. There is a non refundable $100 deposit required. Payment plans are available, please see the treasurer. Full payment is needed before the start of the season.

What is included with the uniform?
The uniform rental is included in the registration fees. The uniform consists of three pieces:
The cheer shoes are included with the registration fee and are for the girls to keep.
Is there anything else needed to complete the uniform?
There are three additional pieces required to purchase to complete the uniform.
The accessories will be available for purchase at uniform fitting and are for the girls to keep.
When is uniform fitting?
Uniform fitting is scheduled as soon as registration closes. A save the date communication will be sent to families. At uniform fitting, girls will get sized and receive their uniform, get sized for cheer shoes and purchase the accessories.
The shoes and accessories will be delivered to each squad at a later date.
What is the total cost of the program?
The total cost of the program is approx. $400 per girl. The registration fee is $295. Our goal is to offset the cost of the program through sponsorships and fundraising.
Why is there an increase in fees from the 2011 season?
An increase is needed to cover the operational costs of the season. Due to the desire to keep the costs from the families, BCA has been operating at a deficit. In order to ensure that BCA continues to offer our families a quality program, we need to ensure the program is financially whole.
